Winner of the "Sharing the Art Competition", edition 2012
Inspired by the famous "Game 15", the project combines playfulness and functionality. The public seat ‘Game 8’ is formed by 8 panels that slide in two directions to allow the interaction. On top of those panels are secured 7 seats Kartell mod.4875 and a small table made with 4 legs of the same chair.
In line with the mission of the social house that sponsored the competition, the seat allows the users to create many different solutions. The users are invited to create their own configuration, seeking help and cooperation in people with whom they share the space.
Modularity, maintainability and feasibility of the proposal are justified by the proper use of materials (wood and steel), by the simplicity of the realization and by the repeatability of a basic element, which reduces the number of components in favour of dismantling and recovery in end of life.
